Why do I include English?
When I thought about wanting to protect animals,
I realized it was not only a matter for Japan.
I do not know whether it will reach anyone.
Even so,
rather than only waiting,
I wanted to leave a voice here,
as one person.
Photographs and words
do not change the world at once.
But
if someone, somewhere, stops for a moment,
and breathes a little longer
in front of one photograph.
That alone
may be enough.
なぜ、英語を載せているのか。
動物を守りたいと思ったとき、
それは日本だけの話ではないと気づいた。
届くかどうかは、わからない。
それでも、
待つだけではなく、
一人の人として、声を置いてみたいと思った。
写真も、言葉も、
すぐに世界を変えるものではない。
けれど、
もしどこかで誰かが立ち止まり、
一枚の写真の前で、少しだけ長く息をしたなら。
それだけで、
十分かもしれない。
